Agustin is passionately committed to yoga as a tool for bringing greater strength and flexibility to the body and mind. He is an Advanced Certified Yoga Teacher who has trained, among others, with Alison West at Yoga Union, Dana Flynn at Laughing Lotus and Durga Leela at the Sivananda Ashram. A filmmaker and former dancer, he has been practicing yoga for 17 years and has seen first hand the transformative effects of the practice. His classes are lively and full of joy, built on a foundation of intelligent sequencing influenced by a wide range of movement and meditation traditions, most notably Iyengar, Prana Flow, modern dance, yoga for back care, yoga for recovery and vipassana. By bringing awareness to the thoughts in the mind and sensations in the body, by cultivating attention to alignment and by practicing gratitude for each breath, the physical practice on the mat offers an opportunity to train in equanimity and to develop the qualities of steadfastness and softness that can help us to engage with the world and open ourselves more fully.
